Where to find us: Our Community Schools for Regeneration (up-to-date)

Each school in our network is shaped by the unique character of its local community—its people, its ecosystems, and the distinct challenges and opportunities they face. What connects them all is a shared mission: to foster collaboration among diverse stakeholders while advancing zero waste practices and regenerative development—one community at a time. At the heart of this mission is a deep commitment to the well-being of local ecosystems and to uplifting the voices of those most vulnerable or often unheard.

Information about this project can be found here.

1.2. Zero Waste Social Business models (repurposing spent coffee grounds, used cooking oil, single-use soaps and discarded linen items from luxury hotels into new products)

Hoi An Eco Hub is the first-of-its-kind environmental learning center in Hoi An, and in Vietnam as a social business model focusing on zero waste implementation and education. The place is highly recommended among the government officials, tourism businesses, community leaders, schools and organisations who seek for place-based, community-owned operations in sustainability field.

2. Hoi An Community Zero Waste Center

We are very happy to announce an early news that in 2026, we will be opening a new center which dedicates for neighbourhood community zero waste system and education. While existing Hoi An Eco Hub models focus more on waste materials from tourism and hospitality sector, this new center will demonstrate and run a zero waste system for the whole neighbourhood communal community, consisting about 1200 households and small businesses.

This is the first case in Hoi A where public-private-community partnership model takes place to such extent, and never before in decentralised solid waste management. Which will be something very exciting to see and to be.

We hope to welcome you in this new center very soon! Stay updated via our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram) or this site.

Vision: To nurture a community where learning, living, and working harmonize with nature — creating a regenerative model of education and tourism that preserves cultural authenticity, fosters sustainable livelihoods, and inspires collaboration across generations and borders.

Mission: To empower local people and youth with the skills, mindset, and opportunities to co-create a sustainable and regenerative future — through education, tourism, and community innovation rooted in respect for culture, land, and life.

Objectives:

  • Provide an educational and learning platform for local children and youth to develop essential 21st-century sustainable skills — including communication and language competence, digital and AI literacy, and other future-ready capabilities that enhance life and work opportunities.
  • Empower local villagers in Cam Phu to participate meaningfully and confidently in tourism services, equipped with professional hospitality skills, responsible service standards, and a strong sense of cultural authenticity and pride.
  • Provide vocational and experiential training for youth from underprivileged backgrounds across Vietnam in sustainable and community-based tourism, enabling them to gain hands-on experience and create resilient livelihoods.
  • Establish a living model of regenerative tourism practice and education that integrates learning, community development, cultural continuity, and environmental stewardship — demonstrating how tourism can become a force for regeneration.
  • Attract partnerships and exchange programs with universities, NGOs, and sustainable tourism networks nationally and internationally to co-create knowledge, training, and innovation platforms that expand the impact of the project.
